Hryvnia weakening, dollar rising: exchange rates as of May 2

The NBU has set the official dollar/hryvnia exchange rate for May 2. The US currency will rise in price by 12 kopecks. This is evidenced by the official exchange rate of the NBU for Friday, May 2, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

According to the regulator’s website, the hryvnia, in turn, strengthened its position against the European currency. Thus, the official euro exchange rate for Friday is set at UAH 47.08 per euro, meaning that the hryvnia strengthened by 8 kopecks.

The official exchange rates for Friday are as follows:

• 1 US dollar – UAH 41.59 (UAH 41.47 as of April 28);
• 1 euro – 47.08 UAH (47.16 UAH as of April 28).
