Schedule of outages: Ukrenergo published the queues for November 29
29 November 00:32“Ukrenergo has published the schedules of power outages in Ukraine for November 29. The company will apply one to three rounds of power outages to consumers.
Thus, on November 29, the time of application and the scope of restrictive measures will be as follows:
For household consumers:
00:00 – 06:00 – one round of outages
06:00 – 14:00 – two rounds of outages
14:00 – 18:00 – three rounds of outages
18:00 – 22:00 – two rounds of outages
22:00 – 24:00 – one round of outages.
Meanwhile, for industry and business, the power limitation schedules will be in effect throughout the day.
It is noted that the reason for the temporary increase in restrictions is the damage to power facilities during a massive missile and drone attack on November 28.
The company assured that power engineers are working to return the equipment damaged by the enemy to operation as soon as possible.
At the same time, the time of application and the scope of restrictions during the day may change. For up-to-date information on the schedules of outages in a particular region, please visit the website or official social media pages of the regional power distribution companies.
The statement also reminded that Ukrenergo determines only the number of queues to be de-energized. The schedules of outages for each individual queue are determined by the regional power distribution companies.
The power engineers called for economical electricity consumption.
On the morning of November 28, the Russians launched the 11th massive missile and drone attack on the Ukrainian power system since the beginning of the year.
Power facilities in several regions were damaged. Emergency repair work began immediately after the air alert was canceled.
What are blackout queues and how do they work?
Consumers in each region that are not included in the list of critical infrastructure facilities are divided into 6 queues (groups). Limits of up to three queues mean that half of the consumers in each region are subject to hourly blackout schedules. Four queues mean restrictions for up to 70% of consumers in each region.
When oblenergos apply one stage of outage schedules, it means 4 hours of restrictions per day, two stages – 8 hours of restrictions, three stages – 12 hours of restrictions, four stages – more than 12 hours of restrictions.
How to distribute this load during the day and how long the queue will be is the responsibility of the regional power distribution company.
