S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is ready to please users in many countries, but not in Russia
12 November 12:49The release of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl by Ukrainian studio GSC Game World is scheduled for November 20. This was confirmed by the founder of GSC Game World Sergey Grigorovich, Komersant ukrainskyi reports.
According to him, the game has reached the gold status, which means the completion of its final version.
“There are so few bugs that we are no longer ashamed to release the game and are not afraid of the circulation,” emphasized Sergey Grigorievich.
In a recent interview with Volodymyr Zolkin, he explained that the game’s release was postponed several times because of bugs.
“Any product that comes out is released with bugs. There’s just a line above which the number of bugs makes the project crumble. You need to cross this line. Usually, 200 people test a product. And then a million-strong audience joins in, which statistically tests the project much better. And the test department quickly fixes these bugs and makes patches quickly. And the project does not lose sales. That’s why we put it off until the moment when we’re no longer ashamed. There will still be bugs, and they will be patched. There are so few bugs that we are no longer ashamed to release and are not afraid of the circulation,” stated the founder of the Ukrainian game development company.
The company also announced that it has ordered an additional print run of physical and collector’s editions of the game. And for those who have already purchased any physical edition of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, it will be delivered on the day of the game’s release on November 20 by the seller/store through which the order was placed.
Everyone else can order the physical edition in countries such as Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, France, Italy, Spain, Hungary, the Netherlands, Sweden, Austria, Slovakia, Romania, Finland, Denmark, Turkey, Lithuania, Belgium, Portugal, Greece, Estonia, and Bulgaria.
At the same time, the founder of the Ukrainian game development company GSC Game World, Sergey Grigorievich, personally congratulated the Russians on the fact that the game will not be released in Russian.
“They won’t have it (S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2) unless they steal it. But they will steal it, but it will be unknown when,” Sergey Grigorievich emphasized in an interview with Vladimir Zolkin.
However, the Russian media recently reported that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is likely to be banned in Russia. In addition, lawyers advise Russian users not to buy the game, even by circumventing it, because “law enforcement agencies may become interested in the game” as the developer supports the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
