Ukrainian singer Oleg Vynnyk said he plans to go on a world tour and for the first time responded to accusations that he fled Ukraine. Vynnyk said this in the programme “The Whole Country Speaks”, Komersant ukrainskyi

As you know, the artist left Ukraine in the first days of Russia’s full-scale invasion. The celebrity claimed that he left because of an illness that he was treating abroad. For more than 2.5 years, Oleg remained silent about the war and disappeared from the information space. He lived in Germany.
Vynnyk appeared on a programme discussing Andriy Kravchenko, a Ukrainian singer who could take Vynnyk’s niche.
Oleg Vynnyk confirmed the information that he had health problems that forced him to leave the stage. According to him, he fell ill before the full-scale war in Ukraine.
“Many people already know that I was ill before the war. Thank God, it’s getting better and today I’m on a horse, as they say. For the first year, Oleh was not there for anyone: neither for himself nor for anyone else. I didn’t know if I was going to come back to life at all. Then, of course, my social networks were closed by my former management. I don’t want to talk about my injuries so that people would come to my concerts. These are very valuable things for me,” the singer said.
Vynnyk added that he did not flee Ukraine, as people say.
“I didn’t run away anywhere, it’s not my style to come back, and in the end, I’m doing my job. I thank my fans for going to my concerts and paying money. And thank God I didn’t spend it. I didn’t earn any money during the war, but I gave everything away, and I will continue to do so. Oleg is not sitting around. You know, if the Lord God hadn’t given me songs, I wouldn’t be here, we wouldn’t be talking to you today. They are there, they are being written, and they will be released very soon,” the artist said.
The artist stressed that he does not want anyone to like him, and therefore he will never have any excuses in his life.
When asked by Alexey Sukhanov whether Oleg had written himself off from Ukrainian show business, the artist replied that he had never been involved in it. He stressed that he actively helps the Ukrainian military, donating his earnings to their needs, and mentioned the losses among his friends at the front.
“As long as the Lord God gives me songs, gives me the opportunity to help, I am so grateful to fate that I have such a burden, such a cross: searching for cars, searching for what my country needs, the guys at the front. Some of the guys in my security detail are no longer with us. I don’t want to talk about myself today. There are much more important things. I do not want to please anyone, there will be no excuses. I do my job, and I do everything honestly,” he said.
The artist added that he is planning to go on a world tour soon with a new band, which he has recently completely changed.
It should be noted that Vynnyk is once again in the spotlight after a long absence from the public eye during the full-scale war. This happened after his former producer Oleksandr Horbenko accused the artist of lying about the reasons for going abroad and his volunteer activities.
