Head of HQC declared her own husband unfit for service

The head of the military medical commission of one of the district military commissariats in Chernivtsi region declared her husband unfit for military service and received an administrative report on corruption. This was reported by the Department of Strategic Investigations of the National Police of Ukraine, reports 
As the chairman of the military medical commission at the district military commissariat, the police say, the woman signed a certificate of her husband’s unfitness for military service with his subsequent removal from the military register. However, by doing so, she violated the requirements of anti-corruption legislation on conflict of interest.
Since her husband belongs to the category of close relatives, she should have informed the commission members that she had a real conflict of interest and not signed the relevant documents, police said.
This offence is subject to administrative liability (Part 2 of Article 172-7 of the Code of Administrative Offences), which entails a fine of UAH 1700-6800.
