General Staff shows maps of fighting along the front line: hottest areas

The situation at the front remains difficult. The Russian occupiers, using their superiority in manpower and equipment, are continuously attacking the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. In the morning report, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine showed maps of battles along the front line, Komersant ukrainskyi reports.

In total, 159 firefights were recorded over the past day.

Yesterday, the enemy launched 28 air strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements, dropping 60 drones. In addition, it carried out more than five thousand attacks, including 87 from multiple launch rocket systems and used 2,411 kamikaze drones to defeat them.

The aggressor carried out air strikes, in particular in the areas of Bila Bereza and Zarutske in Sumy region; Zaporizhzhia in Dnipro region; and Stepnohirsk in Zaporizhzhia region.

Situation at the frontline

Inthe Kharkiv sector, Russia-backed militants tried to break through the defensive lines of our troops near Vovchansk five times.

Inthe Kupyansk sector, six attacks took place yesterday. Our defenders repelled the enemy’s assault near Pishchane, Kutkivka, Petropavlivka and Lozova.

The enemy attacked ten times inthe Liman sector. He tried to break into our defense near the settlements of Novoyehorivka, Kopanky, Makiivka, Terny, Zelena Dolyna, Yampolivka, Zarichne and Kolodyazi.

Inthe Siversky sector, our troops successfully repelled one enemy attack in the vicinity of Bilohorivka.

Inthe Kramatorsk sector, the occupants attacked seven times in the areas of Chasovyi Yar, Stupochky, Predtechyno and Bila Hora.

In theToretsk sector, the enemy carried out 13 attacks in the areas of Toretsk, Krymske, Diliyivka and Shcherbynivka.

Inthe Pokrovsk sector, our defenders stopped 85 aggressor’s attacks towards the settlements of Vodiane Druhe, Zelenne Pole, Yelizavetivka, Myroliubivka, Sukhyi Yar, Zelene, Kotlyne, Udachne, Nadezhdinka, Kotlyarivka, Uspenivka, Preobrazhenka, Bohdanivka, Baranivka, Promin, Pokrovsk, Novoandriivka, Shevchenko, Dachne, Ulakly and Yantarne.

Inthe Novopavlivka sector, the enemy carried out eight attacks in the areas of Novosilka, Kostiantynopil, Rozdolne and Velyka Novosilka yesterday.

Inthe Orikhivsk sector, the occupation forces stormed the positions of the Defense Forces twice in the area of Novodanylivka and in the direction of Orikhiv.

The Defense Forces are making efforts to prevent the enemy from advancing deep into Ukrainian territory and successfully repelled three enemy offensives in the Prydniprovskyi sector.

The enemy did not conduct any active operations inthe Huliaypillia sector yesterday.

Inthe Volyn and Polissya directions, no signs of enemy offensive groups were detected.

Enemy losses

The Ukrainian Defense Forces are continuing their operation in the Kursk region. Yesterday, the enemy carried out 24 air strikes, dropping 30 drones, and fired 302 times, including three times from multiple rocket launchers. Ukrainian defenders repelled 13 invaders’ assaults.

Our soldiers inflict significant losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces and actively undermine the enemy’s offensive potential in the rear.

In total, the losses of the Russian invaders amounted to 1380 people yesterday. Ukrainian troops also neutralized 5 tanks, 12 armored combat vehicles, 27 artillery systems, 72 operational and tactical UAVs, 86 vehicles and 2 units of occupants’ special equipment.

The total combat losses of the enemy from 24.02.22 to 28.01.25 are estimated to be

  • personnel – about 833,000 (1380) people were eliminated;
  • tanks – 9876 (5) units;
  • armored combat vehicles – 20,573 (12) units;
  • artillery systems – 22,366 (27) units;
  • MLRS – 1263 units;
  • air defense systems – 1050 units;
  • airplanes – 369 units;
  • helicopters – 331 units;
  • UAVs of operational and tactical level – 23,399 (72) units;
  • cruise missiles – 3,053 units;
  • ships/boats – 28 units;
  • submarines – 1 unit;
  • motor vehicles and tankers – 35,269 (86) units;
  • special equipment – 3718 (2) units.
