General of the Russian Armed Forces, who ordered to strike Mykolaiv Regional Council with Iskander, is suspected

The Security Service of Ukraine has served a notice of suspicion in absentia to Russian Army General Alexander Dvornikov, who ordered the attack on Mykolaiv Regional Council with an Iskander missile.

This was reported by the SBU, Komersant ukrainskyi reports.

According to the case file, it was on the order of the former commander of the Southern Military District of the Russian Armed Forces, Dvornikov, that on March 29, 2022, the Russians attacked the administrative building of the Mykolaiv Regional Council. To do this, they used a surface-to-surface cruise missile.

It was launched from the Iskander tactical missile system based in Crimea. The shelling killed 36 people and injured 38 others with varying degrees of severity.

In addition, the blast wave damaged nearby residential buildings, a children’s art center, shops and cars.

Based on the evidence collected, SBU investigators served Dvornikov a notice of suspicion in absentia under Part 2 of Article 28, Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Measures are being taken to bring him to justice.
