The Ukrainian national team had a terrible start to the tournament in Uzbekistan – our team lost to Argentina 7-1 in the first match. However, after that, the Ukrainians improved and won only victories. In the group tournament, Ukraine defeated Angola 7-2 and Afghanistan 4-1. And in the 1/8 finals, the Ukrainians defeated the Netherlands 3-1.

In the semi-finals, Ukraine will face the toughest opponent of all – the world ranking leader, the Brazilian national team (Ukraine is ranked 12th). Brazil won all 5 previous matches of the tournament with a total score of 35:3.
