Fiïnka’s biography

The singer’s real name is Irina Yaroslavovna Vykhovanets (née Bilak). She was born on October 9, 1993, in Nadvirna, Ivano-Frankivsk region. In 2018, Iryna married actor Yuriy Vykhovanets, and a year later she became a mother. The couple has a 5-year-old son Vladislav.

Fionka studied at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, where she received her degree.

Creative and professional path

Since childhood, Iryna has shown an interest in music – she sang, learned to play the violin, and participated in creative activities. She began her career as an actress working at the Ivan Franko Drama Theater in Ivano-Frankivsk, but after graduating, she decided to focus on her own comedy project, Lizhnyk TV, where she simultaneously acted as a host, writer, and director.

In 2019, she made her debut as a singer, presenting the song “Rough”, which vividly reflects the Carpathian rural life. The artist said that the song was created during her pregnancy, which became a kind of impetus for the creation of her first music video.

In 2022, Fiïnka began working with the Enko music label, during which the singer released the songs “Dovbush” and “Culture”, which twice led her to the final of the National Selection for Eurovision. The singer continues to incorporate the Hutsul dialect and folk motifs into her songs, introducing the richness of Ukrainian culture to Ukrainians and the world.

Fiïnka considers it her mission to popularize Hutsul authenticity, its language, culture and traditions. Her work is a bridge between the past and the future, uniting the national heritage of Ukraine with the present. On the Internet, the singer is often called an ambassador of Hutsul culture.

Fiïnka’s participation in the Eurovision Song Contest

In 2023, Fiïnka presented the song “Dovbush” at the National Selection for Eurovision, impressing the audience and judges with her energetic performance. Despite the fact that this song did not win her the selection, Fiïnka gained popularity and recognition among Ukrainians.

In 2025, the singer again reached the final of this competition with the song “Culture”. This year, to select the tenth finalist for the National Selection, a vote was held in the Diia app, where the singer received the most votes. More than 26 thousand Ukrainians took part in the voting, over 30% of whom voted for Fiïnka’s performance.

It should be noted that Internet users noticed the similarity of this song to the track by Spanish singer Rosalia called “Con Altura”, accusing Fiïnka of plagiarism. However, Tina Karol has already commented, refuting the plagiarism accusations and noting that these compositions cannot be called similar, as they differ significantly in tempo, harmonic structure, rhythm and content.
