13 March 05:43The Cabinet of Ministers has decided to improve the mechanisms of the eRobota programme for farmers. From now on, the state will cover 70% of the project cost.
This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal during a government meeting, Kommersant ukrainskyi reports.
“Over the past year and a half, UAH 723 million of grant funds have been invested in horticulture and greenhouse farming under the eRobota programme. Today we are improving the mechanism of this programme,” the Prime Minister said.
According to the new changes, the state will now cover 70% of the project cost, and the remaining 30% will be financed by the entrepreneur.
“Provided that a sufficient number of jobs are created and other conditions are met, the money will not need to be returned,” Shmyhal said.
The Prime Minister also said that authorised banks will be able to monitor the targeted use of funds.
“All this will allow farmers to use the support provided by the state more efficiently and rationally,” Shmyhal assured.
Earlier it was reported that the government will increase the compensation fund for farmers for demining agricultural land from UAH 2 to UAH 3 billion. Compensation will be 80% of the cost of demining works.
