Two countries – Iraq and Jordan – have disappeared from the list of countries that signed a joint communiqué after the Peace Summit in Switzerland. This is evident from the list of signatories published on the website of the Swiss Foreign Ministry, Komersant ukrainskyi reports
The reasons for the disappearance of the signatures of these countries are not specified.
Thus, the number of countries that signed the communiqué following the Peace Summit has decreased from 80 to 78. The number of those who did not sign the document thus increased to 15.
In general, the countries that have not signed the declaration, in addition to Iraq and Jordan, include Armenia, Bahrain, Brazil, Colombia, the Vatican, India, Indonesia, Libya, Mexico, Mexico, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Thailand and the United Arab Emirates.
At the same time, Hungary, Turkey and Serbia are among the signatories of the document.
The two-day Peace Summit was convened at the initiative of Ukraine and opened on 15 June in the Swiss resort of Burgenstock. The Summit was attended by representatives of Ukraine, 91 states and 8 international organisations.
During the Peace Summit, the participants agreed on a common position on three points: food security, nuclear and energy security, and the release of all captured and deported Ukrainians abducted by Russia.
