The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine has fined two companies, Avest Bud and Avtodorbudpostach, UAH 5.6 million for collusion in tenders for the transportation of slag and ash held by Kyivteploenergo for a total expected value of UAH 27.71 million. This was reported by Komersant ukrainskyi with reference to the AMCU press service.
During the investigation of the case, the Committee established the circumstances that indicate that the said business entities were aware of the participation of each of them at all stages of the preparation of tender proposals in two tenders, exchanged information and agreed on the terms of participation.
As a result, competition between them was eliminated.
Avest Bud and Avtodorbudpostach were fined by the AMCU for collusion in the total amount of UAH 5.64 million.
The Antimonopoly Committee reminded that these two companies may now be denied participation in the procurement procedure under the Law of Ukraine “On Public Procurement” based on the fact that they have been prosecuted for anti-competitive concerted actions to distort tender results over the past three years.
Earlier, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine fined Madera Development, a company associated with Vadym Novynskyi, UAH 1.82 million for seven concentrations without obtaining a permit.
