Rains and thunderstorms: weather forecast for May 24

Today, May 24, Ukrainians will face an unstable weather situation. According to weather forecasters, cloudy weather with clearings will be observed throughout the country, but there will be precipitation. This was reported by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center and Natalka Didenko, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
At night, short-term rains and thunderstorms will occur in the western regions, as well as in Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, and in some places in Kyiv and Odesa regions.
During the day, atmospheric fronts will cause precipitation in most of Ukraine, with the exception of the southeast. Particularly intense rains are expected in the northern and central regions and in the Odesa region. In some places, hail and wind gusts of up to 15-20 m/s are possible.
The southeast wind will prevail at a speed of 7-12 m/s.
Temperatures will vary significantly between the western regions and the rest of the country. In the western part, it will be cool at night – 5… 10 ° C, during the day the thermometer will rise only to 10… 15 ° C.
In the rest of the country, the night temperature will fluctuate between 11 and 16 ° C, and during the day the air will warm up to 21… 26 ° C, in Zhytomyr and Vinnytsia regions – up to 17… 22 ° C.

Weather forecast for May 24 from Didenko
On Saturday and Sunday, May 24-25, there will be short-term rains in the capital, sometimes with thunderstorms and squally winds. Hail is possible during thunderstorms, so Kyiv residents and visitors should be especially careful.
According to weather forecasters, the rains will be typical of summer – they will be periodic, but sometimes quite heavy. Such weather conditions have been accompanying the celebration of Kyiv Day for several years now, so for many citizens, it has become almost a tradition to experience downpours on the holiday.
On Saturday, the temperature will hover around 20°C, and on Sunday it will drop slightly to 18°C. However, the temperature may drop significantly in the rain.
Forecasters advise to prepare for the weather in advance: take umbrellas, wear comfortable waterproof shoes, and plan routes so that you can take shelter in the nearest cafe or museum if necessary.
