The dollar is on the rise: NBU exchange rate

On 30 January, the National Bank of Ukraine announced the new official exchange rate of the hryvnia against the US dollar, which is 37.89 hryvnia to the dollar, according to the 
Thus, the hryvnia weakened by 11 kopeks compared to yesterday’s figure.
According to the regulator’s website, the official NBU exchange rate against the euro for Tuesday is set at 41.00 UAH/euro, meaning that the hryvnia has strengthened by 6 kopiykas compared to yesterday’s rate.
The official NBU exchange rates for 30 January are as follows:
- 1 US dollar – UAH 37.89
- 1 euro – UAH 41.00
- 1 Polish zloty – UAH 9.39
- 10 Russian rubles – UAH 4.22
It should be noted that in 2023, Ukrainian banks imported a record amount of foreign currency equivalent to USD 9.5 billion since 2014. For comparison, back in 2022, this figure was $5.9 billion.
