On 14 February, the National Bank of Ukraine set the official dollar to hryvnia exchange rate at 38.13 UAH/USD. This resulted in a 24 kopeck weakening of the hryvnia compared to yesterday’s figure of 37.89 hryvnia to one dollar.

According to the regulator’s website, the official NBU exchange rate against the euro for the day is set at 41.12 UAH/euro, which means the hryvnia has weakened by 32 kopiykas compared to yesterday’s rate. On Tuesday, 13 February, the official hryvnia to euro exchange rate was 40.80.

By 16:00, the hryvnia was quoted at 38.14/38.16 UAH/USD and 41.17/41.19 UAH/€ on the interbank foreign exchange market.

It is worth noting that this increase in the dollar and the euro is the highest in the last month. In general, in recent weeks there has been a tendency to increase by 3-5 kopecks.

It is worth noting that in 2023, Ukrainian banks imported a record amount of foreign currency equivalent to USD 9.5 billion since 2014. For comparison, back in 2022, this figure was $5.9 billion.
