On the eve of the Christmas holidays, weather forecasters are reassuring Ukrainians that the weather conditions will not create any major obstacles to the celebration. According to weather forecaster Natalia Golena, the next few days will bring moderate precipitation, but the weather will stabilize by Christmas, reports Komersant ukrainskyi.

“So far, we do not expect anything particularly terrible. on December 20-21, an atmospheric front will move from the west. There will be light precipitation, mostly in the form of rain. Only in the Carpathians there will be snow,”

– explains the expert.

According to her, the situation will change somewhat on December 22:

“On the 22nd, Sunday, there will be a cyclone over the Black Sea, which means that the southern, central, and eastern regions will have precipitation again. Again, it will be mostly rain. Only in the central regions will there be a band of sleet, there may be ice, slush build-up. But where there is ice, there may be so-called freezing rain.”

The beginning of next week, according to the forecaster, will also be marked by a cyclone coming from the Balkans. The western regions will experience a drop in temperature to zero and sleet, while the rest of the country will enjoy warm weather. On the right bank, including the Kyiv region, rains are expected at temperatures ranging from 2 to 7 degrees Celsius.

However, on Christmas Day, the weather will make a real gift for those who celebrate.

“By Christmas, the atmospheric front associated with the cyclone will move away from Ukraine. The weather in the capital will be dry, with only slight precipitation in the form of sleet and rain possible in the west. The air temperature will range from 1 to 6 degrees Celsius, and in the south of the country the thermometer may rise to 8-10 degrees above zero,”

– summarizes Natalia Golenya.
