Dnipro under attack by “Shahed”: powerful explosions, fires and wounded children

On the evening of April 16, Russian troops massively attacked the city with Shahed kamikaze drones. The shelling caused several fires and injured two children. This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to Telegram of Mykola Lukashuk, head of the Dnipro Regional Council, and Serhiy Lysak, head of the Dnipro Regional Military Administration.
At 9:55 p.m., the Air Force warned that Russian troops had launched Shakhtys at Dnipro.
“Stay away from the windows, the rule of two walls. We believe in air defense forces,” Lukashuk wrote.
Local Telegram channels reported more than 10 explosions in Dnipro. It is noted that after the explosions, smoke is visible in different parts of the city, a parking lot is on fire and windows in houses are broken.
According to Lysak, several fires broke out in Dnipro as a result of the drone attack.
According to preliminary information, two children were injured.
“Residential buildings were damaged. According to preliminary information, two children were injured. All data is being clarified. The air alert is still in effect. So please take care of your safety,” added the head of the JMA.
He specified that houses, educational and cultural institutions were damaged.
“Soon the enemy’s public will publish another fake news about the “destruction of NATO officers”. In fact, there is another terror of civilians in Dnipro. Homes, educational and cultural institutions have been damaged. Cars are vandalized. Ordinary citizens, especially children, are frightened,” Lysak added a little later.
Local social media reports that after the explosions, power went out in some parts of the city.
