“Diia offers women $1000 and business training: what are the conditions?

The educational program “Dream and Achieve” is being launched in Ukraine, aimed at women affected by the full-scale invasion and seeking to start or expand their businesses. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Digital Transformation, Komersant ukrainskyi

In the first three quarters of 2024, women opened 61% of the total number of new sole proprietorships in Ukraine, which was a historical record and a clear indication of the development of women’s entrepreneurship in the country.
“At our Institution, we also actively support this area, creating conditions for the growth of businesses founded by women. We have recently updated the Diia.Business portal and added a separate section called Diia.Business for Women, which contains current opportunities, programs and resources for women’s entrepreneurship development. The educational program “Dream and Achieve” is the next step in our strategy aimed at providing women with the necessary knowledge, support and tools to create and scale their own business,” said Andriy Remizov, Director of the Office for Entrepreneurship and Export Development.
What is known about the program
The program offers comprehensive training lasting three months, which includes 13 intensive online modules on digital marketing and business strategy.

- creating and promoting an online business
- adapting business ideas to new markets and audiences.
The program participants will have the opportunity to acquire the knowledge necessary to create and promote a business in the online environment, adapt existing ideas to new markets and audiences, and move from offline to online. In addition, the program covers all the most important skills that a successful digital marketing specialist should have.
Upon completion of the program, entrepreneurs will receive financial support in the form of a $1000 voucher.
Who can participate
The program is aimed at women aged 18 and older who have suffered from the war: internally displaced persons, single mothers, veterans and other vulnerable categories who have lost their income or are at risk of losing it. Special attention will be paid to participants from the east and south of Ukraine.
The program is open to both those with an initial idea and women with existing businesses who want to scale their business.

It is noted that last year, 80 Ukrainian women participated in the Dream and Achieve program. After completing the program, 98% of the participants felt a significant improvement in their knowledge and skills in business and the digital economy, and a third of women increased their income immediately after completing the program.
