on 26 August, a Russian missile and drone strike cut power to a number of Ukrzaliznytsia facilities in different regions of Ukraine. As a result, trains are delayed. This was reported by Komersant ukrainskyi with reference to Ukrzaliznytsia.
It is noted that railway power engineers worked almost all night to eliminate emergency malfunctions and the consequences of yesterday’s shelling of energy infrastructure. Traffic has already resumed on all sections, however, the impact on the schedule will still be felt throughout the day.
The agency notes that the following trains are currently experiencing the longest delays:
- no. 120 Dorohusk – Dnipro 7:46
- no. 64 Lviv – Kharkiv 7:44
- no. 6 Yasinia – Zaporizhzhia 5:24
- no. 95 Kyiv – Rakhiv 5:23
- no. 18 Uzhhorod – Kharkiv 5:06
- no. 7 Kyiv – Chernivtsi 5:03.
This means that a number of return trips departing today, 27 August, during the day, will depart from their starting stations at least an hour later than scheduled:
- №17 Kharkiv – Uzhhorod
- no. 93 Kharkiv – Chełm
- no. 120 Dorohusk – Dnipro.
The exact departure time will be announced by the station announcer. Therefore, passengers are asked to listen carefully to the announcements, and all trains will be running at a faster speed.
