Where and when Ukrainians will rest in winter

Almost half of Ukrainians – 48% – who will be vacationing on New Year’s holidays will do so in the Carpathians. This is evidenced by the results of a survey conducted by OLX Real Estate, Komersant ukrainskyi reports.
In turn, 38% of Ukrainians will celebrate the New Year’s holiday in big cities. Only 5% chose suburbs and small towns.
The most important requirement that 82% of vacationers put forward to landlords was convenient and comfortable housing. In addition, 76% of respondents paid attention to the price of rent and for almost as many Ukrainians (71%), the location of apartments, houses and recreation centers where they plan to celebrate 2025 was important.
By the way, Ukrainians were least concerned about the availability of storage and the possibility of living with pets when looking for housing for the holidays.
Private houses are most often chosen for New Year’s Eve (55%) and between December 30 and January 1 (74%). 44% of respondents are ready to spend UAH 2000-5000 per day on rent, and another 44% – up to UAH 2000. 11% are ready to pay from UAH 10,000.
It should be noted that OLX Real Estate conducted a survey in December 2024 and attracted 846 respondents among Ukrainians.
