Over the last day, 101 combat engagements were registered. Defenders repelled 29 attacks in the Pokrovsk sector. This is reported by Komersant ukrainskyi with reference to the morning report of the General Staff.
Yesterday, the enemy carried out 73 air strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements (including 89 combat aircraft), fired 4,747 times, more than 180 of them from multiple launch rocket systems.
The aggressor carried out air strikes, in particular, in the areas of Zolochiv, Snihy, Synkivka, Kolisnykivka, Glushkivka in Kharkiv region; Serebryanka, Siversk, Druzhba, Toretsk, Chasiv Yar, Novodonetske, Selidove, Oleksandropil, Vozdvyzhenka, Hrodivka in Donetsk region; Kamianske, Novodanylivka in Zaporizhzhia region and Novotyanka in Kherson region.
Situation at the frontline
Inthe Kharkiv sector, the enemy continued assault operations. Six combat engagements took place in the area of Vovchansk.
Three hostile attackswere registeredin the Kupyansk sector . Defence forces repelled enemy assaults near Sinkivka, Petropavlivka and in the direction of Hlushkivka.
In the Liman sector, our troops repelled 24 occupants’ attacks in the vicinity of Makiivka, Terny and Nevske.
In the Siverskyi sector, Ukrainian defence forces repelled 13 attacks near Ivan-Daryivka, Spirne, Verkhnekamianske and Vyymka. The enemy conducted five of the above attacks near the latter.
In the Kramatorsk sector, Ukrainian troops stopped ten enemy attempts to break through our defences in the areas of Chasovyi Yar and Kalynivka.
In the Toretsk sector, the enemy, with the support of aviation, carried out nine attacks. They concentrated their efforts in the areas of Pivnichne, Nyzhyk and Toretsk. In addition, he stormed near Zalizne.
In the Pokrovsk sector, our defenders repelled 29 attacks. The enemy concentrated its main efforts in the areas of Panteleymonivka, Novooleksandrivka, Vozdvyzhenka, Ivanivka, Zhelanne, Novoselivka Persha and Yasnobrodivka.
In the Kurakhove sector, Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to hold back the enemy in the areas of Krasnohorivka and Kostiantynivka. In total, the enemy tried to break through the defences of our troops in this area three times.
In the Vremivsk sector, the occupants attacked our positions three times in the direction of Vodiane and Vuhledar. The enemy was not successful.
In the Orikhiv sector, there was one unsuccessful firefight near Mala Tokmachka.
In the Volyn and Polissya sectors, no signs of enemy offensive groups were detected. The operational situation has not changed significantly.
On the border with Chernihiv and Sumy regions, the enemy maintains a military presence, has significantly intensified aviation activities, and fired from the territory of the Russian Federation at Bachevsk, Kucherivka, Romashkovo, Kamyanka, Popivka, Yunakivka, Kruzhok, Bunyakino and a number of other border settlements.
Enemy losses
Over the past day, the aviation, missile forces and artillery of the Defence Forces carried out 19 strikes on the areas of concentration of personnel and weapons, destroying three electronic warfare stations, three radars, four artillery systems, two control points and three observation posts of the Russian invaders.
In total, the Russian invaders suffered 1,030 casualties over the past day.
Ukrainian troops also neutralised three tanks, nine armoured combat vehicles, 49 artillery systems, two air defence systems, 32 operational and tactical UAVs, 86 vehicles and two pieces of special equipment.
Between 24 February 2022 and 9 August 2024, the total combat losses of Russian troops on the territory of Ukraine were approximately 588,540 people (1,030 per day).
