Due to Russian shelling, ZNPP remains on one power line

Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant has been left with only one power supply line due to hostilities in the region. This was reported by the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, according to
“As a result of hostilities yesterday, a 330 kV high-voltage power line in Zaporizhzhia region was de-energised. As a result, Zaporizhzhya NPP was left on one power line. Military operations are ongoing in the area,”
– the ministry said in a statement.
It added that the situation at the plant remains stable. The water level in the cooling pond is 15.59 metres, which is enough to meet the plant’s needs.
In general, there is no shortage in the Ukrainian power system, the power engineers said. Generation is sufficient to meet the needs of consumers, and commercial exports and imports are planned.
The Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant is controlled by Russians, which they seized at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, but is still connected to the Ukrainian power grid.
