Part of Mykolaiv left without heat after attack on CHP plant

In Mykolaiv, as a result of Russian shelling of the thermal power plant, a system failure occurred. Part of the city was left without heat. This was reported by the head of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration Vitaliy Kim, Komersant ukrainskyi reports

Kim said that 44 residential buildings were cut off.

For his part, the mayor of the city, Oleksandr Senkevych, said that the consequences of the Russian attack on the thermal power plant continue to affect the heat supply system. To eliminate the accident, heat supply was temporarily suspended.

Temporary heat supply cut off at the following addresses:

  • sadovaya str: 9, 11, 13, 15, 29a, 31a, 31/2, 46/1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 48, 50;
  • sevastopolska str: 41, 43, 43/1, 47, 47а;
  • ihor Bedzay str: 58, 60, 62, 97, 99, 99а;
  • tsentralnyi Ave;
  • kovalska str: 58b, 58a, 58;
  • 2a Slobidska str: 71, 73, 75;
  • pohranichna str.: 43, 43a, 45, 47, 47a, 78, 78a, 78b, 78g, 78c, 80, 69, 69a, 63a;
  • hromadyanska str: 42Б;
  • 1a Slobidska str: 74.

As reported, on the night of February 16, Russian shelling in Mykolaiv completely destroyed the power generation of the local thermal power plant. 46 thousand subscribers were left without heat. Five apartment buildings, shops, and a catering facility were also damaged, and a man was injured.

To provide heat to the townspeople, they were reconnected to other power sources and modular boiler houses provided by the Danish government were used.
