The National Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) has announced tenders for appraisers and managers for seized assets belonging to businessman Pavlo Fuks. This was reported by Komersant ukrainskyi with reference to the ARMA.
The agency recalls that earlier, by a ruling of the Galician District Court of Lviv, these assets were seized and transferred to the management of the ARMA.
The property includes an elite residential building and six land plots on the banks of the Dnipro River in Kozyn village, Obukhiv district, Kyiv region. Also, corporate rights of companies owned by Fuks: Quaef CI Partners LLC (100%), JSC ZNVKIF Kyivskyi (100%) and Interstroy Group (62%).
According to ARMA, the private house has expensive and high-quality furniture, appliances, a cinema, a gym and a massage parlour.
The land plots on the banks of the Dnipro River are located among elite private buildings and can be used for various purposes: from agriculture and gardening to construction.
“Anyone, except representatives of the aggressor state, can take part in competitions to select an appraiser and a manager of these assets. After an independent assessment of each of these assets and the selection of managers, this property will start working for the benefit of the state, bringing significant funds to the state budget,” the ARMA said.
As a reminder, the Security Service of Ukraine exposed Pavlo Fuks on large-scale financial fraud with strategic enterprises of Ukraine and systematic tax evasion. It has been established that since 2018, Fuks has illegally seized assets of Ukrainian companies worth more than UAH 100 billion.
The SBU said that based on the evidence collected, the oligarch was served a notice of suspicion under Part 3 of Article 27, Part 3 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (tax evasion, duties (mandatory payments)).
Earlier, the State Bureau of Investigation seized the corporate rights of three companies that extracted gas and oil from state-owned subsoil. They belonged to former MP from the People’s Front party Ihor Kotvitsky and businessman Pavlo Fuks.
