There will be more: in Transcarpathia, production of components for wind power plants has been established

The production of wind turbines in the industrial park “Friendly Wind Technology”, which is located in Perechyn in Transcarpathia, has reached the capacity of 30 units per year. This was reported by the Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Economic Development Dmitry Kisilevsky, informs "Komersant Ukrainian".
According to him, this corresponds to the investment program for the development of the park, which provides for the introduction of additional production lines in early 2026 and increase production to 100 wind turbines per year.
In the summer of 2025, the industrial park plans to launch serial production of a new type of product – blades for wind turbines.
What makes this industrial park special
The industrial park specializes in power engineering. It employs 1,500 workers.
In 2024 the activities of the enterprises of the industrial park brought more than 150 million hryvnias of taxes, of which more than 100 million was directed to the budget of the city of Perechyn.
What is known about the company “Friendly Wind Technology”
The company relocated to Transcarpathia a significant part of industrial facilities from Kramatorsk in Donetsk region, where it had been working since 2010.
According to Delo.ua, the company is the only manufacturer of multi-megawatt class wind turbines in the country. “Friendly Wind Technology” produces “turnkey” multi-megawatt class wind power equipment with a capacity of 5.2 MW.
In addition to turbine manufacturing, Friendly Wind Technology also builds wind farms itself. Over the years it has built 8 wind farms in Ukraine and one in Kazakhstan.
The company’s partner is Oschadbank
In October, the bank signed a loan agreement with Friendly Wind Technology LLC for the purchase of equipment. The loan was granted under the program “Affordable Loans 5-7-9%”.
At that time, Oschadbank also stated its intention to participate in the realization of this company’s plans to install wind farms in western Ukraine.
How many industrial parks are there in Ukraine
As of the beginning of March, there were 98 industrial parks in Ukraine, which together occupied an area of 3070 hectares.
By the end of the year 15 parks may be excluded from the register. This was reported to Forbes Ukraine by the Deputy Minister of Economy Vitaliy Kindrativ. According to him, these are parks that have no participants and no activity for more than two years.
