Azerbaijan allocates $1 million for humanitarian aid to Ukraine

Azerbaijan will allocate one million dollars to provide humanitarian aid to Ukraine. The corresponding decree was signed by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Komersant ukrainskyi reports
“Based on the principles of humanism, the Republic of Azerbaijan provides humanitarian aid to many countries of the world on a bilateral and multilateral basis,” the document says.
It is noted that in connection with the situation in Ukraine, the Azerbaijani government has repeatedly sent humanitarian aid to the Ukrainian people.
“To allocate to the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan from the reserve fund of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan funds in the amount of one million US dollars in the equivalent in manats provided for in the state budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2025 for the purchase and shipment of electrical equipment manufactured in the Republic of Azerbaijan in order to provide humanitarian assistance to Ukraine,” the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan reads.
Aliyev also ordered the Ministry of Finance of Azerbaijan to provide this funding. The president instructed the government to resolve issues arising from this decree.
