Drone attack on Kyiv: SES shows the consequences of falling debris
29 October 07:42The falling wreckage of a downed Russian drone in Kyiv damaged buildings and cars. According to the latest reports, six people were injured. This was reported by Komersant Ukrainian with reference to the Telegram channel of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES).
It is noted that at 04:29 a.m., a drone attack set fire to parked cars, a store, and a commercial building. A gas pipe was also depressurized.
Rescuers localized the fire on an area of 50 square meters at 05:17 and eliminated it at 05:37.
Fifteen people were evacuated, and 6 victims were handed over to doctors. A man with leg injuries was hospitalized.
Rescuers continue evacuating and dismantling the structures.
In his turn, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Kichko reported that medics were called to Solomensky district. He noted that the team was on its way.
Later, he added that a fire broke out in a residential building in Solomyansky district after the UAV debris fell. Several cars are also on fire. A fire also broke out in a commercial building. All emergency services are at the scene.
Two people were injured.
“In Solomyansky district, in a residential area, a gas pipe on the facade of a 9-storey residential building was depressurized, which caused a fire in a shop,” said Serhiy Popko, head of the Kyiv MVA.
Three parked cars also caught fire. The fire has been extinguished.
According to preliminary data, five people sought medical assistance, one of whom was hospitalized.
In Svyatoshynskyi district, debris smashed windows in a three-story administrative building. There was no information about the victims.
