HACCU appeal leaves Nasirov in custody

The Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court has upheld the measure of restraint against former head of the State Fiscal Service Roman Nasirov, namely arrest with the possibility of bail in the amount of UAH 40 million.


This was reported by the court’s press service, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

“Based on the results of the consideration, the panel of judges upheld the HACCU decision and dismissed the defense’s appeals. The decision came into force upon its announcement and is not subject to appeal in cassation,” the statement said.

As reported, on April 24, the HACC took the former head of the State Fiscal Service Roman Nasirov into custody and increased his bail from UAH 27 million to UAH 40 million.

Nasirov is accused of allowing the companies of fugitive MP Oleksandr Onyshchenko not to pay rent to the state for the use of subsoil in 2015-2016. As a result, the state suffered losses of more than UAH 2 billion.
