US service buys Ukrainian recruiting platform YouTeam

The Ukrainian platform YouTeam for hiring IT specialists has been acquired by the American freelance service Toptal. This was announced by YouTeam co-founder and executive chairman Yuriy Rifyak, reports Komersant ukrainskyi.
“We are inspired and honored to join the legend that changed the talent industry forever,” Rifiak wrote.
Meanwhile, the YouTeam website states the following:
“Through this, you will have access to Toptal’s talent network and recruitment service. You’ll also get flexible options for hiring individuals or teams, managed services and consulting. This is in addition to all the great YouTeam features and services you already enjoy.”
Founded in 2017 by Ukrainians Yuriy Rifiak and Anton Mishchenko, YouTeam develops a marketplace for hiring remote technical professionals. The platform connects companies with engineers around the world, mainly in Europe and Latin America. The company is registered in the United States. Its clients include online exchange linx, medical data platform H1, fintech startup STRATFi and others, data on Youteam’s website shows.
Toptal, a freelance hiring platform founded in 2010, is looking for specialists in development, design, finance, project management and the like. The company operates without a physical office, with more than 500 employees in over 60 countries.
