Ajax Systems presented DoorBell, IndoorCam and new product segmentation at Special Event: Multiverse

on November 21, Ajax Systems held its sixth Ajax Special Event, an annual presentation of its latest technologies and devices, Komersant ukrainskyi reports, citing the company’s press service.

More than 2 million viewers have already watched the previous events online. This year’s offline events brought together professionals at 132 events in 43 countries. The presentation was dedicated to news and releases in all Ajax product categories:

Ajax Systems updates its portfolio segmentation

Ajax Systems is growing rapidly and demonstrates an impressive pace of releases. Every year, the portfolio is replenished with 30 unique products. However, this speed has side effects – the portfolio becomes somewhat confusing. To make it simpler and more intuitive, the company is changing its segmentation.

Several key changes will take place. From now on, the portfolio has four new categories, namely Intrusion Protection, Fire Protection, Comfort and Automation, and Video Surveillance. In the Intrusion Protection category, another division has taken place. It now has two lines: Baseline and Superior. Baseline is represented by Jeweller wireless devices for intrusion protection only. Superior includes improved Jeweller wireless devices and all Fibra wired devices, which are designed for demanding projects. This line also includes its own hub models – Hub Hybrid (2G/4G), which will soon become Superior Hub Hybrid (2G/4G).

IndoorCam: Professional security for home and business

Ajax Systems has announced the release of one of its most anticipated devices – IndoorCam, a Wi-Fi video surveillance camera with an IR sensor, built-in AI, and a backup communication channel. This camera is ideal for use at home, in a restaurant, in a store, or at any other facility where wired solutions would be inconvenient.

The device is equipped with a 4-megapixel camera with HDR technology and IR illumination at a distance of up to 8 meters, so the picture is detailed and clear both day and night. The IR sensor detects motion at a distance of up to 4 meters, while the built-in AI recognizes people, animals, and vehicles. The camera has a highly sensitive microphone and a high-quality speaker for two-way communication without echo and background noise.

Availability: IndoorCam will be available for order in the first quarter of 2025.

DoorBell: Professional protection at the entrance to the premises

The video surveillance category gets an obvious addition – Ajax DoorBell, a video doorbell with built-in artificial intelligence, IR sensor, and app control.

DoorBell offers excellent image quality. It has a 4-megapixel camera with HDR technology and IR illumination at a distance of up to 6 meters, so the image is always clear regardless of lighting conditions. It also features the company’s proprietary noise and echo cancellation solutions and has a significantly higher volume level than other devices on the market. Users will be able to hear and speak clearly, even if the video call is used in noisy places.

However, what the Ajax team is most proud of is the communication capabilities of DoorBell. The main communication channel is, of course, Wi-Fi, but with an incredible range of up to 500 meters in the absence of obstacles. This is up to 5 times more than competitors offer. Even if the Wi-Fi connection is lost, DoorBell is still connected to the Ajax hub thanks to the backup communication channel – Jeweller and Wings radio protocols. The device never turns into a brick.

Meet MotionCam Outdoor HighMount (PhOD) Jeweller

MotionCam Outdoor HighMount (PhOD) Jeweller is a motion detector with a wide range of installation options. The device can be installed at a height of 2 to 4 meters. Its camera has wide horizontal and vertical viewing angles, but no blind spots. The detector covers a large area, making it ideal for remote and industrial facilities, construction sites, warehouses, and hangars. However, it can also protect office buildings and private homes.

Availability: MotionCam Outdoor HighMount (PhOD) Jeweller will be available for order in the fourth quarter of 2024.

BP Jeweller Hub: Security without the need for power

Protecting unoccupied properties is now even easier with the release of Hub BP Jeweller. It is a hub that does not require power, making it ideal for protecting unoccupied homes, construction sites, and offices that are temporarily unused. The control panel is available in two versions – with and without a housing. It can be powered by internal Ajax batteries or internal or external batteries from third-party manufacturers. The batteries can be either rechargeable or non-rechargeable. The hub also has an advanced battery saving mode for impressive autonomy.

Importantly, the BP Jeweller Hub is also compatible with the ExternalAntenna. It provides uninterrupted radio communication where there are obstacles, such as reinforced concrete walls. The ExternalAntenna will enhance the Jeweller or Wings connection as well as cellular.

Meet SpeakerPhone Jeweller, a module for audio alarm verification

One of the novelties of this year’s Ajax Special Event is SpeakerPhone Jeweller, the first voice module in the Ajax ecosystem. It is designed for direct calls between the monitoring company and the facility. In the event of an alarm, the monitoring station operator instantly contacts the object to talk to the people present there or to listen to noises and assess the situation.

Curtain Outdoor Jeweller: The first line of defense

Curtain Outdoor Jeweller is a wireless curtain motion detector for outdoor perimeter protection. The device features a newly developed optical system, as well as three modes and a dual motion detection system, which together guarantee a minimum risk of false alarms. Motion is detected thanks to the optical system based on a Fresnel lens, two IR sensors, and the SmartDetect data analysis algorithm.

News digest for the North American market

Recently, the Ajax team has been actively working to respond to the requests of partners from North America. As a result, the company has presented smart switches of the LightSwitch series(single-button, pass-through, and cross-over) and a smart socket Socket (type B) Jeweller. The models offer all the benefits of the devices for which they are so well-liked in Europe, but in a form factor familiar to the market.

MotionCam Jeweller and MotionCam (PhOD) Jeweller now have HDR, new optics and CMOS sensor, and therefore take higher quality photos. The MotionCam series has also been updated with a new sensor – Superior MotionCam HD (PhOD) Jeweller. In addition to HDR, it supports high resolution and will have an improved TurboWings protocol. Users and professionals alike will be able to capture photos in superior quality in less than five seconds.

Another addition to the Ajax portfolio is the Superior MotionCam AM (PhOD) Jeweller, a wireless motion detector with reliable masking detection, improved photo verification and reduced blind spot.

The portfolio of 19 exceptional fire safety devices meets the most stringent international standards and adapts to the needs and requirements of different markets. For example, Ajax became the third manufacturer in the world to offer a special mode of operation for fire detectors when bahur, a traditional incense in Eastern countries, is lit.
