75 Ukrainian processing companies to receive grants for modernization

The winners of the next wave of the grant program for processing companies are 75 enterprises. In total, the winners submitted applications worth more than UAH 348.1 million. This was reported by the Ministry of Economy, Komersant ukrainskyi reports.

According to Deputy Minister of Economy Andriy Teliupa, the ministry has already issued an order to provide grants from the state budget to 15 winners of this wave. Together, they will receive almost UAH 101.6 million in grants.

Among the producers who have decided to modernize or expand production with the help of grants for processing under Made in Ukraine are both those who are just paving the way for great success and well-known enterprises in Ukraine and abroad.

For example, Chernihiv-based Berehynya factory will receive a grant to expand production. The factory’s products are in great demand. These are shoes for adults and children, as well as orthopedic shoes.

NORMAIZOL, one of Ukraine’s leading producers of heat, hydro, noise and vibration insulation materials, will also receive a grant. The manufacturer’s products are sold in our country and exported.

Among the grantees is the production and commercial company LOSK. The company specializes in glass and mirror processing, and its products have represented Ukraine at international exhibitions and competitions for many years.

Other winners of the grant program include agro-processing companies, manufacturers of building materials, etc. Grantees applied for grants ranging from UAH 2 million to UAH 8 million.

The decision to award grants to the remaining 60 winners of the wave in the amount of over UAH 246.5 million will be made by the State Employment Center.

How to get a grant

The grant can be received on a co-financing basis: up to 50% of the cost is covered by the grant, and the rest is paid by the processor. If the company is located in the de-occupied territories or territories where there have been or may be hostilities, produces UAVs, or belongs to the printing sector, the state will compensate up to 80% of the project cost, and the grantee will cover 20%.

How the program is funded

The program is funded from two sources:

– budget funds, including donor contributions to the Economic Recovery and Transformation Fund. The Ministry of Economy issues orders for grants from the budget within the framework of the monthly budget allocation plan.

– from the Compulsory State Unemployment Insurance Fund. Grant orders are issued by the State Employment Center based on information from the Ministry of Economy.
