How did Daria get into the Book of Records?
- She performed 24 splits upside down on the pole without stopping, which is 4 repetitions more than the minimum set for the record.

A record after an injury
It is especially impressive that less than a year ago Daria suffered a serious sports injury, after which doctors doubted that she would be able to return to active training at all.
“I have set a Guinness World Record in pole vaulting – and I am only 12 years old! It was not an easy path: a year ago I got injured, but I managed to recover, believe in myself and do the impossible. This is an important event not only for me, but for the whole of Ukraine. Children can also be strong, determined and inspiring,” said Daria Ponomarenko.
