1000 from Zelensky: when and how the aid will be paid (video)

on December 1, the Winter eSupport project was launched. It provides an opportunity for Ukrainians to receive UAH 1 thousand of assistance, which citizens have already called “Zelensky’s thousand.” We’ll tell you when and how the money will be paid, as well as what you can spend it on.

The service is available for adults and children living in Ukraine (except for the temporarily occupied territories). You can apply for Winter eHelp from December 1, 20204 to February 28, 2025.

How to apply for assistance through Diia

In order to apply for a “thousand from Zelensky”, you need to:

  1. Install or update the Diia mobile application for administrative services.
  2. Log in to Diia.
  3. In the “Services” section, select the “Winter Support” service.
  4. Click “Start”.
  5. Select who the payment is intended for. If it is a child, you will need to add a birth certificate to the application (if the person has not done so before).
  6. Select the account to which the money will be transferred or open a new one.
  7. Submit an application for payment.

The status of the application can be tracked in the Diia mobile application. The payment should be credited to the bank card within 10 days after the application is submitted.

In which banks you can open a National Cashback card

Payments can be received at branches of the following banks:

  • PrivatBank
  • monobank;
  • Raiffeisen Bank;
  • Ukrgasbank;
  • Sense Bank;
  • FUIB;
  • Abank;
  • Bank Globus;
  • UKRSIBBANK;
  • Oschadbank;
  • Accordbank;
  • Bank Credit Dnipro;
  • Clearing House;
  • Radiabank.

What you can spend the “Zelensky’s thousand” on

The money can be spent on:

  • payment of utility bills
  • medicines
  • transportation tickets;
  • donations to UNITED24 to support the Ukrainian military;
  • insurance or mobile phone services

You can spend the funds until the end of 2025.

Important! You cannot withdraw cash from the National Cashback card. Funds can be spent both online and offline, but only on certain categories of expenses.

How to get “Zelensky’s thousand” if you don’t have a TIN

If a person does not have a taxpayer card, Winter eHelp can be applied for at a partner bank branch starting December 10. And if a person receives a pension or social assistance from Ukrposhta, the “Zelenskyi’s Thousand” can also be received there from December 4.

How to receive funds for those who do not have the Diia app

Citizens who receive social disability payments of groups 1-2 through Ukrposhta during the Winter is Support program will receive financial assistance through Ukrposhta. The list of such recipients is compiled by the Ministry of Social Policy.

The funds can be used only through Ukrposhta until the end of February 2025. They can be used to pay for utilities and other services, as well as some Ukrainian-made goods.

It is worth noting that on the first day of ePidtrymka’s operation, more than 2 million 100 thousand applications for the payment of 1 thousand hryvnias have already been submitted. In particular, almost half a million applications for payments to children. “ePidtrymka works for everyone in Ukraine – both adults and children. Important figures that prove the timeliness of the program.

In particular:

  • 551,000 applications were submitted for children;
  • 64% of users are women, 36% are men;
  • the average age is 30-40 years old.
