The Ministry of Economy has prepared an updated catalog of industrial parks to help companies find partners, locate their production facilities and attract new investments. This was reported by the Ministry of Economy, according to [Kommersant].

The updated catalog was called “a tool for finding places with infrastructure, favorable conditions and business opportunities.”

What does the catalog offer?

According to the Ministry of Economy, the catalog contains all the necessary information to choose the best location for business:

Specialization of industrial parks – from mechanical engineering to light industry.

Infrastructure – information on the availability of communications, transport interchanges and connections.

Benefits and incentives – information on tax and investment benefits for residents.

Location and area – a detailed description of each location with maps.

“Despite all the challenges, Ukraine is creating favorable conditions for investors. We have already registered 100 industrial parks in different regions. 13 applicants have received funding on escrow accounts in the amount of UAH 925.05 million. Participants of industrial parks have the opportunity to take advantage of the following benefits: VAT exemption on equipment imports, 10-year income tax exemption subject to reinvestment, as well as reduced rates for land and real estate,” said Yulia Svyrydenko, First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Economy of Ukraine.

The statistics shared by the Ministry confirm the effectiveness of industrial parks: 1 hectare of park creates 50 new jobs, and 1 dollar of public investment attracts 6 dollars of private investment.

The state is improving the working conditions of parks

A draft law submitted by the Cabinet of Ministers to the Verkhovna Rada a few days ago will help improve the functioning of industrial parks in Ukraine. The same document introduces the model of an “eco-industrial park”. This was reported by [Kommersant].

“This will be an innovative format of industrial sites where businesses will use alternative energy sources, rationally approach waste management and optimize the use of water resources,” Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal explained the features of the new model.

The draft law also defines the concepts of “eco-industrial park” and “industrial symbiosis within an industrial park”, specifies the list of economic activities that can be carried out on the territory of an industrial park, as well as those that are prohibited in an industrial park.
