The Defense Tech Job Fair will bring together employers and those willing to work in the field of armaments and defense technologies in Kyiv on March 1. This was announced by the Minister for Strategic Industries of Ukraine Herman Smetanin, according to [Kommersant].

The “Arsenal of Talents” will be attended by representatives of more than 50 companies working in this field. They will talk about vacancies, job prospects, and show their developments.

Participants will be able to communicate personally with manufacturers. They will listen to presentations by employing companies, visit exhibitions of their products, and join the discussion on the state of Ukraine’s defense industry.

“We have already done a lot: a wide range of drones, software, and the introduction of artificial intelligence systems. But there is still room for improvement. To do this, the defense industry needs fresh ideas and skillful hands,” German Smetanin formulated the idea of the event.

As reported by [Kommersant], the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is looking for specialists in the field of IT, robotics and artificial intelligence.

Work is offered in the following areas: R&D and countermeasures, engineering, programming, development of automated systems, work with artificial intelligence, etc.

On the same days, Ukrainian gunsmiths armed themselves with their own brand

During a presentation of the achievements of the Ukrainian defense industry organized for foreign leaders, it was reported that ZBROYA is now a brand of the Ukrainian defense industry and is a common name for all weapons and the whole phenomenon of the Ukrainian defense industry. Komersant ukrainskyi also talked about this.

The new brand logo is supposed to be applied to defense products manufactured in Ukraine, their packaging, etc.

Gunsmiths have their own Council

The Ukrainian Council of Armaments Manufacturers is a platform that consolidates the private defense industry for effective interaction with government agencies, the military and international partners.

The Council already includes:

– League of Defense Enterprises of Ukraine,

– Ukrainian Robotic Forces,

– Association of Electronic Warfare/Reactive Electronic Equipment Manufacturers,

– Techosystem Defense,

– Defense Alliance of Ukraine,

– Association of Manufacturers of Unmanned Systems and Related Technologies “ARMADA”,

– D3 Venture Capital Investment Fund.

Oleksandr Kamyshin, Advisor to the President of Ukraine on Strategic Issues, former Minister of Strategic Industries, became the Chairman of the Board of the UOP.
